In His Hands
There's no doubt that God created man and woman for one another.    When all is said and done, all of us are looking for a meaningful companionship with another.     Everyone has an opinion on the "right" ways and the wrong ways.  But for the person who is serious about having God guide their life, even in relationships, what guidelines are we to follow?

The church is no help, all they ever tell you to do is not have sex ... as if that was some guarantee that the person you're with is the one whom God intended for you.    And there isn't much help in the Bible either.   Of all the things it talks about, sex and relationships are the least discussed.   When we read about biblical figures, they're already married and we don't get much perspective on the things they've faced in that marriage.   It seems like the single person, looking God's direction in their romantic relationships has absolutely nothing to go on.

That's hard.  Especially when it seems people who really have no interest in allowing God to direct their lives seem to hook up all the time.  That doesn't mean they're happy and who really knows what goes on behind closed doors.  Who really knows who is in a relationship that brings them contentment,  rather than just a relationship of safety and convenience.   Who really knows?

I am committed to the idea that He does know and He does lead us to the person He's designed us for,  if we allow it.
